City of Austin City Council will meet Dec. 10.

The City Council Special Called Meeting will  convene at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, December 10,  2024 at Austin City Hall, 301 W. Second Street, Austin, TX and some  members may be attending via videoconference

The City Council may go into a closed session as permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act, (Chapter 551  of the Texas Government Code) regarding any item on this agenda. 

City Clerk 

1. Approve an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 20241119-002 ordering the December 14, 2024,  runoff election to add the following exhibits: executed English and Spanish versions of the ordinance  calling the election (Exhibit B); an executed joint election agreement with Travis County establishing  the parties’ roles and responsibilities for the conduct of the runoff election (Exhibit C); election day  polling places (Exhibit D), election day judges (Exhibit E), central counting station staff (Exhibit F),  early voting ballot board members (Exhibit G), and signature verification committee members  (Exhibit H); adopting the polling places listed in Exhibit D and appointing the election staff listed in  Exhibits E, F, G, and H; and declaring an emergency. Funding: This item has no fiscal impact. 

Public Hearings and Possible Actions 

2. Conduct a public hearing relating to the establishment of an Austin Tourism Public Improvement  District composed of hotels with one hundred or more rooms and the advisability of the  improvement as authorized by Texas Local Government Code Chapter 372. Funding: This item has  no fiscal impact.
