Delta announces new nonstop flight from Austin to Jacksonville starting May 2025

Delta Air Lines has announced a new nonstop route from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Jacksonville, Florida (JAX), set to begin on May 7, 2025. The service will be operated by Delta Connection partner SkyWest Airlines.

"This is another exciting expansion of Delta’s nonstop services in Central Texas," said Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO. "We are excited to add another new destination for both business and leisure travelers to enjoy. We can’t thank Delta enough for their continued investment into our community."

David Hart, Delta's Managing Director of Network Planning, stated: "We’re proud to launch nonstop service between Austin and Jacksonville, the sixth new market Delta will launch from the Texas capital by Summer 2025. This new route demonstrates our commitment to connecting Austin to more destinations, offering customers greater convenience and choice as the city continues to grow."

The flights will operate daily using SkyWest's Embraer 175 aircraft with seating options in First Class, Comfort+, and Main Cabin. Tickets go on sale starting November 23, 2024.

Jacksonville offers travelers a mix of urban attractions and natural beauty with its downtown area, historic neighborhoods, museums, beaches like Jacksonville Beach, and parks such as Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is owned by the City of Austin and managed by the Department of Aviation. It supports over 74,000 jobs directly and indirectly in Central Texas and serves around 20 million passengers annually. The airport is undergoing significant improvements under the Journey With AUS program aimed at enhancing passenger amenities and infrastructure.
