More than 3,000 volunteers participated in the recent "It’s My Park Day Fall 2024," contributing to the improvement of parks, trails, and green spaces across Austin. The event saw a total of 90 projects completed with significant community involvement.

The efforts resulted in the removal of 34,000 pounds of trash and the spreading of 713 cubic yards of mulch. Over both spring and fall events this year, a total of 6,905 volunteers were involved. These combined efforts have been valued at $639,462 in labor, with 1,529 cubic yards of mulch spread and 76,750 pounds of trash collected.

Organizers expressed gratitude towards participants for their dedication to enhancing local parks. They stated: "We are so grateful to everyone who took part in these events! We hope you enjoyed your time creating community in our local parks, trails and green spaces – we’ll see you again next spring."

Acknowledging the importance of community support and sponsorships, organizers added: "Without our community–and sponsors–none of this is possible. Thank you!"
