The Bullock Texas State History Museum, in collaboration with "The Daytripper" host Chet Garner and Garrison Brothers Distillery, will hold an event titled "Daytripping Through Texas Whiskey" on November 15. This event aims to celebrate the state's whiskey heritage.

According to an October 30 press release from the museum, the event will feature a VIP tasting, a screening of "Cowboy Bourbon: The Full Proof Tale of Garrison Brothers," and a panel discussion. VIP ticketholders will have early access at 5:30 p.m., while general admission begins 30 minutes later. Tickets are priced at $35 for the general public and $20 for museum members.

Bullock Museum Director Margaret Koch said in the release that Daytripper events with Chet Garner are becoming an annual tradition at the museum. "We hope to see everyone come out for the fun," Koch said. "Texas has a unique and long-standing whiskey heritage that we’re excited to highlight this year."

The release also mentioned that Koch will join Garner in a meet-and-greet with VIP ticketholders during the event. The VIP tasting will feature premium bourbon whiskeys from Garrison Brothers paired with hors d’oeuvres.

Garner, who is recognized as a multiple-time Lone Star Emmy Award winner and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) personality, will participate in a panel discussion alongside Dan Garrison and Marsha Milam of Milam and Greene Whiskey from Blanco.
