Paul, a pickleball coach on TeachMe.To, a learning marketplace that connects Students with skilled Pros for private lesson, is advertising lesson openings across the Austin area. Lessons can be booked on the Teach Me To website or app to best fit a user's schedule and neighborhood.

While lessons with Paul are most commonly hosted at either the Mary Frances Baylor Clarksville Pocket Park or the Pan American Neighborhood Park, he is based in the Clarksville Historic District in Austin. Players can choose to do one on one lessons or book a group lesson with family or friends.

"I love pickleball because it's a very social sport, you can play with your friends," Paul said in his profile photo on TeachMe.To. "Also the barrier to entry is really low, so anybody can pick up a paddle and become a player quickly."

Lessons with Paul are for all skill levels, beginners and intermediate, and any ages, including kids, teens, adults, or teenagers. No gear is required, students are asked to wear athletic gear to lessons and bring their own water, sunglasses, or other items, but Paul will supply all paddles, balls, and court equipment.

“I like teaching pickleball because I like seeing others succeed and I love coaching," Paul said. "My proudest moment as a pickleball instructor, a couple that I teach went off on their own and played pickleball and they were never comfortable enough to do that before.

Austin is the fourth most popular city for pickleball coaches on the TeachMe.To platform, according to a company report, with experts predicting an additional 25,000 courts needed across the country to meet increased demand for the sport.

Paul's profile says he has been playing pickleball for two years, and plays an average of five days a week on his own. His proudest moment as a pickleball player is being able to play with his fiance and teach his family how to play the sport.

Lessons range anywhere from one to two hours, with a variety of days and times available to book.

"A very talented and knowledgeable coach who has really helped improve my pickleball game," a review from Tim said. "He even stayed at least 15 minutes after my lesson to play a game and put what I learned into practice."

The 2023 Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s (SFIA) Topline Participation Report reveals that pickleball remains the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. for the third consecutive year, out of 124 sports tracked.

Additionally, the 2023 APP Pickleball Participation Report indicates that 36.5 million people have played pickleball at least once in the past year, roughly 14% of the adult population in the country.
