Austin seeks service providers for LGBTQIA2S+ community support

The City of Austin has announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking qualified nonprofit organizations or quasi-governmental entities to provide services to the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Austin and Travis County. The RFP, titled "SSAU RFP 2024-003 LGBTQIA2S+ Services," aims to address various needs including mental health care, peer support, health care referral and education, public benefits access, food access, community building and engagement, financial education, and legal access.

The proposals are expected from organizations with proven experience in serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, gender non-conforming, gender fluid, gender queer, and two-spirit communities. The City issued the RFP on October 10th with several key dates for interested parties.

Organizations intending to apply must submit their intent by October 31st at 3 PM CST. Full proposals are due by November 21st at 3 PM CST. Questions regarding the RFP should be submitted by November 14th at 3 PM CST. Additionally, technical assistance requests concerning submission through PartnerGrants are due by November 20th at 5 PM CST.

Optional pre-bid meetings will be held on October 22nd from 10-11:30 AM CST and October 23rd from 1-2:30 PM CST. Registration for these meetings is available through EventBrite.

Proposals will only be accepted through the PartnerGrants database; paper copies will not be considered. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered vendors with the City of Austin and users within the PartnerGrants system before proceeding with their applications.

The process includes completing an Annual Agency Threshold Application in PartnerGrants which remains valid for competitions closing within a year of submission. A separate Intent to Apply form must also be completed for each proposal planned for submission by the identified due date.
