Wheatsville Food Co-op, a community-owned grocery store in Austin, has announced the appointment of Kristi Willis as their new Chief Executive Officer. Willis will assume her role on April 15, 2024.

Willis brings over 20 years of experience in the cooperative sector. Before joining Wheatsville, she held various leadership roles at other cooperatives across the country. Her expertise is expected to enhance Wheatsville's operations and strengthen its position within the community.
The appointment comes as Wheatsville continues its mission to provide high-quality food products while supporting local farmers and producers. The co-op aims to maintain its focus on sustainability and community engagement under Willis' leadership.
Wheatsville Food Co-op was established in 1976 and has since become a staple in the Austin community. It operates two locations that offer a wide range of organic and locally sourced products.
