Chris Milam, a Memphis-based singer-songwriter, is preparing to release his third album titled "Orchid South." Known for his previous albums "Kids These Days" and "Meanwhile," Milam has gained critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase through extensive touring in the US and UK. His collaborations with artists such as William Bell, Valerie June, Amanda Shires, Cory Branan, and Garrison Starr have contributed to his reputation as an emerging artist.

The new album, described as a "kinetic, slyly subversive rock record," draws inspiration from Milam's adolescence. It features eleven tracks that reflect on teenage life and its connection to present-day chaos. The first singles from the album, “Orchid South” and “Cut Myself Shaving,” are already available. The full album will be released on May 10, 2024, through M Records.

American Songwriter praised Milam by stating he “invites—and earns—the Paul Simon comparisons.”
