Uber Technologies, Inc. and Avride have announced a new partnership to integrate Avride's delivery robots and autonomous vehicles into Uber's services, including Uber Eats.

According to an October 3 press release from Uber, the collaboration will initially launch in Austin with Uber Eats sidewalk robots in the coming weeks. The rollout will then extend to Dallas and Jersey City, New Jersey, later this year.

The release also states that Dallas will see the introduction of the mobility partnership for riders in 2025. Once launched, consumers requesting deliveries or rides through the Uber Eats or Uber apps may opt for an Avride delivery robot or autonomous vehicle to complete their trip.

Avride Chief Executive Officer Dmitry Polishchuk expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Uber to enhance the delivery experience for both consumers and merchants.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi commented on the potential benefits of autonomous mobility and delivery for consumers and communities.
