Austin police seek public help in identifying robbery suspect

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in two aggravated robberies. The incidents occurred on September 29 and October 1, 2024, at Craigo’s Pizza and Tiff’s Treats, respectively.

On September 29, the suspect entered Craigo’s Pizza at 5501 Balcones Drive around 4:05 p.m., brandished a handgun, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. On October 1, the same individual entered Tiff’s Treats at 11011 Research Blvd. at approximately 11:47 a.m., again brandishing a handgun and demanding money. When refused, the suspect left the scene without obtaining any cash.

"The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit requests the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon that occurred at the Craigo’s Pizza located at 5501 Balcones Drive on September 29, 2024, at 4:05 p.m."

Authorities have released descriptions and photos of the suspect but are urging anyone with information to contact APD's Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
