Chuck Briseno is set to make his debut at Saxon Pub on October 3, 2023. The independent artist and songwriter comes from George West, a small town in South Texas known as the hometown of world champion cowboy Phil Lyne and the "Storytelling Capital of Texas."
Briseno's love for music, songwriting, and storytelling has deep roots. His grandfather, known as "Tata," had a guitar in the house and would record himself singing love songs in Spanish about Briseno's grandmother Ofelia. This early exposure to music significantly influenced Briseno's development as a writer and performer.
After graduating high school, Briseno joined the military and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2007 with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He served as a paratrooper and team leader while applying to West Point. In 2012, he graduated and continued his service as a tank commander and combat engineer until 2018.
Starting in 2019, Briseno embarked on his music career as a road warrior, logging over 150,000 miles and performing more than 600 shows. He released his debut album "You Should Be Mine" along with several singles such as “Find Her With Me” and “She’s My Home.” These efforts have earned him a reputation for hard work and dedication not only to his music but also to his fans.
Briseno has headlined his own shows across the country and supported acts like The Turnpike Troubadours, Pat Green, Granger Smith, Muscadine Bloodline, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, Josh Ward, Jackson Taylor, and Uncle Kracker.
In recent years, he has recorded at legendary studios such as Sun Studio and East Avalon Recorders in Muscle Shoals. With new music expected for release in 2024, Briseno plans to appear at more festivals and larger venues nationwide.
