Austin police seek help identifying suspect in CVS pharmacy robbery

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery at a CVS Pharmacy on September 14, 2024. The incident occurred between 6:25 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. at the store located at 1701 East Parmer Lane.

According to APD, the suspect entered the store, threatened an employee, and claimed to have a gun. In response, the victim grabbed a screwdriver from a drawer and stabbed the suspect multiple times in self-defense. Following a brief physical altercation, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as:

- Hispanic male

- Between 19-25 years of age

- Approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall

- Weighing between 150-175 lbs.

- Having a moustache

- Hair short on sides, longer and curly on top

He was last seen wearing a red hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath, black jeans, and white shoes.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
