MetroRail service will be suspended during Labor Day Weekend to allow CapMetro to continue construction projects for the future McKalla Station and additional double-tracking work along the 32-mile rail line. The suspension will occur from Friday, September 2 to Monday, September 5, with no MetroRail service available during this period.
To accommodate customers during the suspension, CapMetro will operate a shuttle serving Leander, Lakeline, and Howard Stations before heading to Downtown Station. Alternative bus services are also available from all MetroRail station locations to downtown, though not directly to Downtown Station.
CapMetro will operate a Sunday-level of service systemwide on Labor Day, Monday, September 5. There will be no MetroExpress or MetroRail shuttle service on that day; however, Pickup services will remain operational.
