Austin FC fell to Toronto FC in a 2-1 defeat Saturday night at BMO Field.

The first half saw Toronto FC take an early lead through Jonathan Osorio in the 7th minute. Austin had numerous chances to equalize as both Jáder Obrian and Osman Bukari were denied in one-on-one situations by TFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson. Deandre Kerr eventually doubled Toronto’s advantage in the 30th minute.

The Verde & Black continued to apply pressure in the second half, and Owen Wolff showed composure in the box to pull a goal back in the 76th minute. Ultimately, Austin came up just short on the scoreboard.
