The Austin LGBT Chamber Education Fund has opened applications for its 2024 scholarship program. Eligible applicants must be residents of Texas, defined as those currently living in the state for at least three months prior to the application deadline, having lived in Texas for at least one year within the past five years, or having lived in Texas for more than a year and been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution during the last five years.
Application requirements include an academic transcript (official or unofficial), a resume, short essay responses, and optional letters of recommendation. Applications will be reviewed by community volunteers from the Chamber’s Education Fund Board of Directors. Semi-finalists will be notified in mid-November 2024 and invited for an interview via Zoom or phone. Final recipients will be introduced at the annual Business of Pride Awards Gala in December 2024.
