Construction company Flintco announced that the concrete structure of the Modern Austin Residences in the Rainey Street district has been completed. To commemorate this milestone, Flintco held a topping-out ceremony, which included team members from the company, Urbanspace, Page Architects, and trade partners signing the final steel beam.
According to a July 30 press release issued by Flintco, the Modern Austin Residences are a 56-story residential tower consisting of 299 market-rate residences and 21 affordable housing units.
The project aims to address Texas' growing need for diverse housing solutions, according to the release.
Flintco Vice President Scott Tomhave said in the release that the Modern Austin Residences fit the company’s mission to shape communities with purpose. Tomhave added that the project will offer a diverse blend of housing options.
The release stated that the Modern Austin Residences will feature expanded sidewalks, improved parklands, street trees, and bike lanes – all designed to provide an elevated lifestyle surrounded by culture, entertainment, cuisine, and nature.
Flintco Project Manager Chris Moyes said in the release that his company and Urbanspace share a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and construction excellence.
