The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session Meeting on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 301 W. 2nd Street, Austin, TX and via videoconference.
Mayor Watson called the Council Meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Council Members Harper-Madison and Kelly appeared via videoconference. Council Members Alison Alter and Qadri were absent.
B. BRIEFING
Bl. Briefing on the implementation of the Climate Equity Plan and Environmental Investment Plan.
The presentation was made by Bruce Mills, Interim Assistant City Manager, Zach Baumer, Chief Sustainability Officer, Shay Roalson, Director of Austin Water, Jorge Morales, Director of Watershed Protection.
C. COUNCIL ITEMS OF INTEREST
11. Authorize execution of an amendment to the Mueller Master Development Agreement with Catellus Austin, LLC extending the termination date of the Master Development Agreement to December 31, 2027, and increasing the administration fee paid to the parties.
127. Discussion and possible action related to placing proposed City Charter amendments on the ballot for a November 2024 special election.

Mayor Watson recessed the meeting to go into Executive Session at 10:30 a.m.
E. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The City Council went into Executive Session, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, to receive advice from Legal Counsel, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and personnel matters as specifically listed on this agenda and to receive advice from Legal Counsel regarding any other item on this agenda.
E1. Discuss legal issues related to In re the City of Austin et al., Cause No. D-1-GN-24- 001064, in the 53rd Judicial District of Travis, County, Texas consolidated with Dirty Martin's et al. v. Mayor Kirk Watson et at., Cause No. D-1-GN-23-008105 in the 455th Judicial District of Travis County, Texas (Private consultation with legal counsel - Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code).
Executive Session ended and Mayor Watson reconvened the meeting at 10:54 a.m.
Mayor Watson adjourned the meeting without objection at 10:54 a.m.
The minutes were approved on this the 18th day of July 2024 on consent on Council Member Vela's motion, Council Member Qadri's second on an 11-0 vote.
