The Austin Police Department will be conducting a Click it or Ticket Initiative, focusing on vehicle occupants not wearing seat belts and unrestrained minors. This initiative will be in effect from May 20 through June 2.
"Texans can play a major role in ending fatal crashes with a few simple driving habits," stated an official from the Austin Police Department.
The Austin Police Department and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDoT) are continuously focused on preventing lives from being lost on Austin's streets, highways, and waterways. The department is dedicated to making the roadways and waterways of Austin safe for residents and visitors through education and enforcement.
