The City Council of Austin, Texas convened in a Work Session Meeting on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 301 W. 2nd Street, Austin, TX and via videoconference.
Mayor Watson called the Council Meeting to order at 9 a.m. Council Member Kelly attended via videoconference.
B. BRIEFINGS
Bl. Overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Austin Housing Public Facility Corporation and Austin Housing Finance Corporation.
Presentation was made by Mandy DeMayo, Interim Director, Housing Department; Nicole .Joslin, Real Estate Division Manager, Housing Department
Mayor Watson recessed the meeting to go into Executive Session at 9:59 a.m.
E. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The City Council went into Executive Session, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, to receive advice from Legal Counsel, to discuss matters of land acquisition, litigation, and personnel matters as specifically listed on this agenda and to receive advice from Legal Counsel regarding any other item on this agenda.
El. Discuss personnel issues related to the search for and appointment of a new city manager (Personnel matters -Section 551.074 of 'the Texas Government Code).
Executive Session ended and Mayor Watson reconvened the meeting at 1:48 p.m. Mayor Watson adjourned the meeting at 1:48 p.m. without objection.
The minutes were approved on this the 21St day of March 2024 was approved on consent on Council Member Qadri's motion, Council Member Alison Alter's second on an 11-0 vote.
