Call to Order
Chair Ellis called the committee meeting to order at 1:03 p.m.
Public Communication: General
None
Approval of Minutes
1. Approve the minutes of the Mobility Committee meeting on November 16, 2023.
The minutes of the November 16, 2023, Mobility Committee meeting was approved on Council Member Qadri's motion, and Council Member Vela's second, on a 4-0 vote with Council Member Harper-Madison absent.
Briefings
2. Update from the Urban Transportation Commission (UTC) regarding actions from the UTC meeting on December 5, 2023.
The committee received an update on recent discussion items and actions taken at the Urban Transportation Commission from its Vice Chair, Ruven Brooks.
3. Update on the roles and responsibilities of each City department and office involved in the implementation of mobility-related projects and programs.
The committee received a briefing from Richard Mendoza, Austin Transportation and Public Works and James Snow, Capital Delivery Services.
4. Resident Mobility Concerns: How to report issues and what to expect.
The committee received a briefing from Jeff Stensland, Austin Transportation and Public Works.
5. Living Streets Program update.
The committee received a briefing from Kirk Scanlon and Matt Macioge, Austin Transportation and Public Works. In attendance to answer questions from Council Members was Richard Mendoza, Austin Transportation and Public Works Department.
