The Austin Police Department (APD) had been seeking the public's help in locating a missing and endangered juvenile, Hannah Smith. The 16-year-old, who is high-functioning autistic, had gone missing from Wichita, Kansas on January 14, 2024.

Hannah was last seen in Wichita, but authorities believed she may have been in the Austin area, possibly in the company of an adult male driving a Blue 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with expired tags. The APD was concerned about her immediate welfare and requested anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact 911 or APD's Human Trafficking unit.

Providing a description of Hannah, the APD described her as a white female, standing at 5'07" and weighing 140 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Hannah was wearing a blue jacket, black leggings, a black hat, and carrying a black backpack.

However, in a recent update, the APD announced that Hannah Smith has been located and is safe. The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
