The City of Austin Economic Development Department has announced that it will host the 2024 Small Business Fundamentals Week from January 22 to 26. The event will be held at the department's training room, located at 5202 East Ben White Boulevard, Suite 300.
According to a statement on the Austin Chamber's website, business owners are invited to participate in complimentary classes during this event. These classes offer specialized instruction in various fundamental areas such as marketing and bookkeeping.
Sylnovia Holt-Rabb, director of the economic development department, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event. "As we continue to support our Austin small business community in 2024, I am excited to witness the transformative impact of empowering entrepreneurs through specialized training in fundamental business topics, fostering growth, and contributing to the economic vibrancy of our community," Holt-Rabb said in the announcement.
The announcement also revealed that a class schedule can be found at autinchamber.com. Individuals are required to register for these classes. In case classes reach full capacity at the time of registration, attendees will be added to a waiting list. Registration can be accessed through the event's registration link.
The Small Business Division of the Economic Development Department provides various services to entrepreneurs according to the announcement. Its mission is not only to promote job creation but also facilitate expansion for both new and existing businesses by providing capacity-building information, tools, and resources.
