University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) announced its selection as a trusted banking partner for faculty and staff at The University of Texas at Austin. This decision followed a competitive request for proposal (RFP). The partnership aims to enhance financial success among the academic community by providing them with exclusive financial services.

The new collaboration will bring a variety of benefits to the UT community. The designation allows UT faculty and staff to benefit from financial services, competitive loans, distinctive mortgage solutions, and comprehensive financial education programs offered by UFCU for enhanced financial success. Established in 1936 by UT faculty and staff who identified a gap in traditional banking services, UFCU has expanded to cater to the financial requirements of UT's academic community, serving over 371,000 members across Central Texas and Galveston County, according to a press release by UFCU.

Michael Crowl, CEO and President of UFCU expressed his enthusiasm about strengthening ties with the University. "Founded by UT faculty and staff, our past is inexplicably tied to UT. We are honored that UT continues to place great trust in UFCU as we deepen our relationship through this announcement. We understand that financial stability is a key to financial success, and through this partnership, UFCU will continue to work alongside UT to build tools to ensure each Member is prepared and equipped to focus on building a better tomorrow," said UFCU CEO and President Michael Crowl, according to a press release by UFCU. "At UFCU, our mission is always to improve the lives of our Members, and we are excited about the opportunity to do even more for the UT community in the coming years."
