NewHomesMate CEO Dan Hnatkovskyy said that his company is currently rebranding and expanding to find new markets and opportunities according to a BuiltInATX article published on Thursday.

On Wednesday, NewHomesMater announced a $5.5 million round of seed funding, allowing the company to expand into new U.S. markets. The company also announced that it was rebranding from its original name Propertymate.

Hnatkovskyy and COO Safia Vyshnevska launched NewHomesMate in 2020. Since then, the company has grown to serve 10 markets in Texas, Florida, and North Carolina. The company's new capital will help it to access another eight markets, including those in Atlanta, Phoenix, Charlotte, Charleston, and Denver.

“These investments give our team a great opportunity to expand to new markets and deliver more value to homebuyers and builders,” Hnatkovskyy said in a statement to BuiltInATX. “Propertymate rebrands as NewHomesMate to better reflect the focus on our mission to make the new construction home buying process a lot better.”

Following a $1 million pre-seed raise in 2021, NewHomesMate's latest funding round came from investors such as Gaingels, Geek Ventures, and Pragmatech Ventures. The company also plans to grow its 91-person team.

According to the company's Linkedin page, NewHomesMate is a New York City-based company aiding homebuyers in searching, comparing, and buying new construction homes while also allowing home builders and agents to sell new homes faster.

Hnatkovskyy is a Ukrainian-born, Austin-based "PropTech entrepreneur" with a strong drive to address the housing shortage crisis. His self-professed mission is to "[change] the way how people search, compare, and buy new construction homes".
