Mackeez is short for Mac n' Cheese, the name given to me from the shelter.
I was hit by a car in a neighborhood and someone posted the incident on a neighborhood app. No one came for me so a kind hearted New Hope foster drove to the house and found me under a car with a fractured pelvis and ankle.
She took me to her vet and they contacted my owner through my microchip. They could not take care of me so they surrendered me to my hero . I did not require surgery thankfully but I had to recover in a small cage for 6 weeks. Once I was able to walk again my foster realized I am almost completely blind. It is unclear if this was caused from a brain injury when I was hit by the car or something I had before.
Nonetheless I get around really well. My foster tries not to move things around too much so as not to confuse me. I am around 9 years old. I still love to play with toys, I do try to escape anytime you leave a door open but it is clearly not safe for me. I am well tempered and love to be pet, lay in your lap and give little love bites.
I am very vocal and like having other cat friends. I get along well with other cats and tolerate dogs.
