The University of Texas will enshrine 10 former student-athletes in its Athletic Hall of Honor during an Oct. 15 ceremony that will also honor the Class of 2020.

This year’s class of 10 inductees will be honored along with 14 former student-athletes selected for the honor in 2020 during the event, according to KVUE, which reported the event will kick off at 7 p.m. at the LBJ Auditorium and Conference Center on the UT campus. Chris Del Conte, vice president and director of athletics, applauded the dual classes on Forty Acres Insider online at Texassports.com

“It’s only right to do an event like this in person with our patented Texas hospitality and well-deserved celebration of the best of the best in the history of our athletics programs,” he said on the website.

This year’s class includes Mike Adams (football), Clay Britt (swimming & diving), Richard Duncan (track & field), Peter Gardere (football), J.P. “What an awesome group it is covering so many of our programs, and we can't wait to officially enshrine them on Friday, Oct. 15,” Del Conte said on Forty Acres Insider.

According to KVUE, the class of 2020 inductees include Alexandria Anderson (track & field), D.J. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no induction ceremony was held in 2020, according to Texassports.com.

KVUE also reported that tickets for the Hall of Honor program are $25 and are on sale now. They are general admission and can be purchased online at texaslonghorns.com.

According to Texassports.com, the inductees also will be honored during the Texas home football game as the Longhorns host Oklahoma State on Oct. 16.
