A new poll by the Convention of States Action, with The Trafalgar Group in partnership, shows in surveys done July 12 and July 13 of over 1,000 likely 2022 election voters, that 81% of Americans are concerned about the influence of China in the U.S.

The breakdown of that data shows that of the 1,089 polled, 50.8% of those are very concerned about the influence of China on U.S. government, media and culture, while 18.7% are somewhat concerned, 11.5% are concerned and 18.9% have no concern at all.

"The strident, combative nature of communications from official Beijing since the beginning of COVID-19 clearly indicates that China already understands its decades-long covert strategy to undermine the United States has been so successful, they can now be open about it," President of the Convention of States Action Mark Meckler said. "Thus, the only people who might be surprised by these numbers are members of the propaganda press and their allies in Washington, D.C., who have worked tirelessly to convince us that Russia is the real threat."

The results were remarkably consistent across party lines. Over 71% of Democrats expressed concern along with 92.2% of Republicans. Almost 80% of Independents and third party affiliates were concerned.

Of those polled, the largest age demographic included those between 45-64. Those between the ages 18-24 had only a 7.7% participation, while those 25-34 had 14.2% participation and 35-44 at 14.9% participation. The 65 and older age group had a participation rate of 26.6%.

By gender, the polling participation percentage was fairly close with 53.3% of those polled being female and 46.7% of those being male.

"Our fight is not with each other, our fight is with the evil communists in China who have snuffed out the light of freedom in their own land, and are now spreading their Great Totalitarian Reset around the globe," Meckler said.

Dell, a company based in the Austin suburb of Round Rock, has had a significant manufacturing presence in China, but recently moved to move a large portion of its manufacturing back to the United States as a tariff war escalated between the two countries.

Convention of States Action (COSA) is a grassroots political organization with over 5 million supporters across the United States. The organization's primary focus is on calling an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution. COSA only promotes amendments which would impose limitations on the size and scope of the federal government.

The Trafalgar Group is a public polling and market research firm. Its website states that Real Clear Politics called it the "most accurate pollster of the cycle among those firms that polled multiple Senate and governor races” this year.
