Sight Sound Soul will be held at St. Edward’s University in Austin on May 13, featuring a multi-sensory art and music experience designed to bring together people of all abilities.

According to the event announcement, Knowbility and Art Spark created Sight Sound Soul nearly two decades ago to remove accessibility barriers and allow an audience with diverse abilities to share a unique experience. The event includes real-time painting on stage as musicians perform, with American Sign Language interpretation, human captioning, audio description, and live painting engaging all senses.

This year’s closing celebration is in partnership with Art Spark Texas and marks the return of the Sight Sound Soul experience to AccessU after 15 years. Musicians with disabilities will perform alongside artists painting live on stage. The program also honors Sharron Rush, Knowbility’s founder and a pioneer of digital accessibility, as she retires after decades of global impact.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with networking and a cocktail hour featuring an appetizer buffet, complimentary water and tea, and a cash bar. The main program starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by performances at 7:30 p.m., concluding at 9:00 p.m. Free parking is available in designated areas for registered vehicles.

Featured guests include D-Madness, described as an influential figure in Austin’s music scene known for his multi-instrumental performances, and Elizabeth Decker, a contemporary artist recognized for her bold abstract portraits that explore emotional narratives through color and form.

Additional details about tickets, registration modifications for attendees or presenters, sponsorship opportunities for organizations wishing to support the event, as well as further information about parking procedures are available through the organization’s website.
