PNC Bank’s C NOTES band is set to participate in the Health Alliance for Austin Musician’s (HAAM) Corporate Battle of the Bands for the third consecutive year.

According to a HAAM press release, the C Notes band comprises PNC Regional President and Corporate Banking Leader Steven Gonzalez on drums, his brother Pete Gonzalez on lead guitar and vocals, Stephen Jeffrey – a HAAM board member and PNC private bank leader – on bass, and Nathan Strubhart, a PNC business banker, playing rhythm guitar.

The 2024 HAAM Corporate Battle of the Bands will be hosted by Cirrus Logic at the ACL Live Stage at the Moody Theater on June 5, according to the release. The event is an opportunity for musically talented employees from Austin-based businesses to perform while supporting a worthy cause. Competing bands are judged by a panel of celebrities and members of the music industry during their 12-minute sets, with four awards up for grabs.

According to HAAM’s website, HAAM offers access to affordable healthcare for low-income musicians working in the greater Austin area. Since its establishment in 2005, nearly 7,000 musicians across seven counties have benefited from over $144 million in healthcare services provided by HAAM. These services include dental work, treatment for hearing loss and heart conditions, as well as mental health support.
