Pet of the Week: Meet Dax!

This week’s Pet of the Week features Dax! He is a puppy shepherd mix looking for his forever home.

Dax is 5 months old, weighs almost 30 pounds (and growing!) and is described as a very smart and “perfect little teddy bear” by his foster mom. He’s already mastered pee pads by the door and is making progress in his potty training. He loves sitting on his human’s lap and enjoys running and playing with cats and his chew toys. We have no idea how a puppy this cute landed himself in a shelter, but we are so grateful he’s out because he has lots of love to offer and enjoys lots of cuddles and all the comforts of a loving home. His ideal owner will have time to train and care for a puppy who will grow into a big dog.

Dax is available for adoption through New Hope Animal Rescue (NHAR) in Austin. For information or to apply to adopt, visit https://nhanimalrescue.org/adoption-information

About NHAR: New Hope Animal Rescue saves the lives of dogs and cats that are at risk of being killed in shelters. Whether an animal has been discarded or overlooked due to age, breed or health status, we provide the medical care and emotional rehabilitation needed prior to adoption. We also encourage our community to play a role in reducing shelter overcrowding by educating around the importance of spaying and neutering beloved pets.
