Pet of the Week: Dusty

0Comments

New Hope Animal Rescue has an animal available for adoption:

Name: Dusty
Type: Cat
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Male
Age: Baby
Color: Blue Point
Size: Medium
Status: adoptable
Attributes: Spayed Neutered    House Trained    Declawed    Special Needs    Shots Current
Environment: Children    Dogs    Cats
Dusty is a very social and playful cat. According to Dusty, the best way to start the day is to get those morning hugs and snuggles before breakfast. He loves to play all day, either alone with all his toys or with his humans. He really enjoys hanging out with his humans and will always be found napping or playing in their vicinity. His favorite game is playing fetch or soccer. He may be a great friend for a dog (with a slow introduction) due to his playful and loving nature. Dusty is litter trained and can be free-fed. One of his unusual quirks is that he really enjoys eating lettuce (so far he has enjoyed romaine and ice-berg). Dusty would do best with an affectionate active owner who enjoys a social and loving cat.

Dusty needs to be an only cat due to his FeLV status. He tested positive for FeLV and then later tested negative. But this means it could be dormant and he might become contagious to another cat in the future. For this reason, we need to adopt him out as an FeLV kitty. This means he can live with another FeLV kitty or as an only cat.
