Pease Park Conservancy is seeking a Director of Development to lead its fundraising initiatives. The organization, which focuses on restoring and maintaining Austin’s first public park, describes the position as a key leadership role responsible for securing revenue through grants, donations, and event-based fundraising.

According to the job description, the Director of Development will manage campaigns such as Sycamore Circle, Pease Keepers, Corporate Engagements, Year-End Appeals, and planned giving events including Squirrel Fest, Pride Picnic, and Luminarium. The individual will also be involved in capital campaign management, donor stewardship at all levels, corporate solicitation strategies, grant writing activities, and organizing fundraising events like the annual Luminarium Gala.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree from a four-year university; a master’s degree is considered an asset. Five or more years of nonprofit development and management experience are required. Additional preferred qualifications include Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE) certification and membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), experience with Salesforce CRM software, and prior work in the Austin market.

The Director of Development will report to the CEO and collaborate closely with board members, staff, volunteers, and community engagement teams. The job offers a full-time salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
