The Palmer Events Center in Austin will host five events in December, according to a recent announcement. The schedule includes the Sports Inc. 2025 Outdoor Footwear and Apparel Meeting, Horror for the Holidays, Markets for Makers, the 2025 TSBPA Swearing In Ceremony, and the 2025 Armadillo Christmas Bazaar.

The Sports Inc. meeting is set for December 2-4 and aims to support independent sporting goods retailers by offering buying opportunities from various suppliers.

Horror for the Holidays returns on December 6-7 with horror-themed vendors, an evil Santa, a Krampus parade, elf races, craft classes, performers, photo opportunities, a film festival, and other activities related to horror.

Markets for Makers will also take place on December 6-7. This event brings together independent artists and makers who focus on home décor, fashion, art, design, food, and more.

On December 13, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) will hold its swearing-in ceremony at the venue.

The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar marks its 50th season from December 13-21. The event runs daily from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., featuring live music and what organizers describe as Austin’s longest-running holiday art market. “The holiday market features fine art, handmade gifts, and more, transforming holiday shopping into a one-of-a-kind cultural experience,” according to event information.

Those interested in attending can find the monthly event calendar at www.palmereventscenter.com.

Derick Hackett serves as Acting Public Information and Marketing Manager for the center. He can be reached at 512.404.4020 or accd.media@austintexas.gov.

Parking is available at One Garage near Butler Park and Auditorium Shores. Organizers suggest using the Riverside Dr. entrance to avoid traffic congestion at Barton Springs Rd.

The Palmer Events Center is located at 900 Barton Springs Rd., within three miles of about 11,000 hotel rooms in downtown Austin.
