Palmer Anthony, a musician originally from the West, is set to make his debut at Saxon Pub. Growing up, Anthony balanced sports like baseball, football, and basketball with summer jobs pouring concrete. At 14, he began teaching himself country songs on the guitar inspired by his father’s cassette collection.

Anthony attended the University of California, Santa Barbara to play baseball but found himself drawn back to country music. He started writing lyrics in college and after trips to Lubbock and Nashville during his second year, decided to pursue songwriting as a career.

After completing college in two and a half years, Anthony returned to Fort Worth in April 2017 to enter the country music industry. His music has since achieved over three million streams on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. In 2022 alone, he performed over 100 shows across the United States with his band, opening for acts like Eli Young Band, Randall King, and Chase Rice.

Whiskey Riff described Anthony as “one of the new names you need to know” in the Texas Country/Red Dirt scene.
