Manor ISD names Dr. Rochelle Bond as director of human resources

Dr. Rochelle Bond has been named the new Director of Human Resources for Manor Independent School District, the district announced on March 31. Bond brings over fifteen years of experience in education, including roles in both campus administration and human resources.

The appointment is significant as Manor Independent School District serves more than 10,000 students across 15 campuses, according to the official website. The district operates eight elementary schools, three middle schools, one PreK-8 campus, three high schools and one alternative learning campus.

Bond previously worked at Leander Independent School District as a Human Resources Coordinator. In that role she led staffing operations for multiple campuses and rebuilt the substitute program by recruiting, onboarding and training more than 1,500 substitutes. Her responsibilities also included overseeing daily staffing needs and compliance processes while managing hiring pipelines in partnership with campus leaders.

Before moving into human resources leadership roles, Bond served as an assistant principal, counselor and special education teacher. She has experience leading campus operations and supporting teacher development. “I am honored for the opportunity to serve as Director Human Resources in Manor ISD,” said Dr. Bond. “I look forward to working with staff, students, and administration in continuing the move towards student success.”

Bond holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling from Newburgh College along with advanced degrees from Sul Ross State University and Park University.
