The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) has announced the recipients of the 2025 District of Distinction Award. Manor Independent School District (ISD) is among the honorees, recognized for its commitment to a comprehensive education that includes a strong visual arts curriculum. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Manor ISD has received this accolade.

TAEA, a prominent advocate for visual arts in Texas, honors districts that meet stringent criteria based on data. For the 2025 award, over 1,200 districts were eligible to apply by submitting documentation demonstrating compliance with a 14-point rubric for the 2024-2025 school year. Only 109 districts met these high standards and will be recognized as being in the top eight percent for art education in Texas.

Nealy Holley, Chair of the Visual Art Administrators of Texas, praised Manor ISD’s achievements: “Manor ISD has set a high standard for visual arts advocacy, integrated visual arts curriculum, encouraged creativity, community participation, and student growth.” Holley emphasized the dedication and skill of Manor ISD’s visual art educators in maintaining quality educational experiences.

The honored districts will be celebrated at the TAEA District of Distinction Awards Ceremony during the TAEA Fall Conference on November 21, 2025, in Round Rock.
