Manor Independent School District’s Board of Trustees has approved an updated compensation plan for the 2025–2026 school year. The changes follow state funding measures passed during the 89th Texas Legislative Session.
The district made adjustments to its pay structure in response to House Bill 2, which requires salary increases for teachers based on their years of experience. Teachers with three to four years of experience will receive a $2,500 raise, while those with five or more years will see a $5,000 increase. For teachers with one to two years of experience, Manor ISD is providing a $1,000 raise from district funds.
As a result of these changes, the starting salary for certified teachers in Manor ISD will be $58,350. This figure is competitive among Central Texas school districts.
Employees not covered by House Bill 2 will receive a 1% raise at midpoint salary funded by Manor ISD. District leaders acknowledged the need for higher pay but expressed appreciation for being able to provide this increase as recognition of staff commitment.
The new salaries take effect with the September 30 paycheck. This payment will include a lump sum covering retroactive raises; subsequent paychecks will reflect the new rates.
