A student from Manor Excel Academy has received statewide recognition for her artwork. Paulina Soto’s piece, titled “Kinetic,” was chosen for the 2025–2026 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition. This juried event highlights outstanding student art from across Texas.

Paulina’s work will be displayed at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin during March 2026. An awards ceremony is scheduled for March 29. Being selected for this exhibition is regarded as a significant honor, acknowledging both artistic skill and creative expression.

Manor Independent School District (ISD) acknowledged Paulina’s accomplishment as an example of its dedication to supporting creativity among students and providing opportunities for young artists to present their work on a larger stage. The district serves more than 10,000 students across 15 campuses in Texas and offers programs such as dual language education, career certifications, and pathways to associate degrees, aiming to support student success in academics, arts, and community involvement (official website).

Manor ISD also operates eight elementary schools, three middle schools, one PreK-8 campus, three high schools, and one alternative learning campus (official website). The district has been recognized as a District of Distinction in visual arts by the Texas Art Education Association (official website). In addition to academic achievement, Manor ISD encourages community engagement through student-led initiatives focused on positive contributions (official website).

“Selection for the exhibition is considered a significant honor, recognizing both artistic skill and creative expression.” Manor ISD stated that it celebrates Paulina’s achievement as “a reflection of the district’s commitment to fostering student creativity and providing opportunities for young artists to share their work on a statewide stage.”
