Nationally recognized ISHIDA Dance Company is returning with a new production titled “Rara avis.” The program features internationally acclaimed dancers and choreography. According to Pulitzer Prize-winning dance critic Sarah L Kaufman, ISHIDA’s work is “deeply poignant” and “remarkable.”

Brett Cullum of Broadway World commented, “The dancers weaved pure magic in the air, and you could almost hear jaws dropping as they moved…”

“Rara avis,” meaning “rare bird” in Latin, presents a highly physical and visually impactful program that follows the story of a singer facing imposter syndrome after returning to the stage following a break. The event will also feature “Mutual Comfort,” choreographed by Romanian artist Edward Clug, along with a new dance theater piece by British Finnish choreographer Kristian Lever.

The evening aims to showcase choreography from both Europe and the United States. VIP ticket holders will have access to a post-performance reception on the Mezzanine level where they can meet the dancers and Artistic Director.
