Metrocade, a genre-bending quartet known for their power funk sound, is gaining attention from both songwriter/pop audiences and jazz-fusion enthusiasts. The band consists of Dave Orr from Brisbane, Australia; Ry Dill from Minneapolis, Minnesota; Marcell Colman from Lafayette, Louisiana; and Marshall Kummer from Germany. Each member moved to Austin, Texas, seeking new collaborations.
The group formed after many late nights exploring the local music scene and connecting via social media. Initially performing as the Dave Orr Band to test new material secretly, they eventually solidified their chemistry and rebranded as Metrocade. They have been recording their debut EP at BUD’S studio with producer/engineer Sam Patlove.
The debut EP is expected to be released in 2023.
Dave Orr handles guitar and vocals, Marshall Kummer plays drums, Ry Dill is on bass, and Marcell Colman performs on keys.
