Delta Air Lines will launch a new nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Valley International Airport (HRL) in Harlingen, Texas, starting October 7, 2024. This year-round service will operate once daily.

The new flight to Harlingen will be operated by SkyWest Airlines under the Delta Connection brand using the Embraer E175 aircraft. The E175 features a two-class configuration with 76 seats: 12 in first class and 64 in the main cabin, including 20 Delta Comfort+ seats. Passengers will have access to in-flight WiFi, power outlets, and USB ports during the approximately 1.5-hour journey.

Harlingen is situated in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley and is known for its rich history, art, shopping, and vibrant culture. Attractions include Jackson Street’s antique district and the original Iwo Jima Memorial. The city offers a variety of festivals and events throughout the year that celebrate local cuisine and cultural heritage.

Additionally, Harlingen serves as a gateway to South Padre Island’s beaches. Outdoor activities abound with over 1,200 acres of public parkland available for bird watching at Arroyo Colorado or exploring Hugh Ramsey National Park.

Delta’s new daily service aims to make travel to this southern Texas destination more convenient. Tickets can be booked at www.delta.com.
