The PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE convened virtually in a regular meeting at 301 W. 2nd Street in Austin, Texas.

Mayor Pro Tem Harper-Madison called the committee meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1. Approve minutes of the April 26,2021 meeting of the Public Safety Committee.

The motion approving the minutes of the April 26,2021 meeting of the Public Safety Committee was passed on Committee Member Kelly motion, seconded by Vice Chair Casar, without objection with a 3-0 vote.

DISCUSSION

2. Discussion with Austin EMS Association regarding City emergency medical services operations and response related to the February 2021 Winter Storm event (Winter Storm Uri).

Austin EMS Association President Selena Xia and EMS Chief Jasper Brown spoke on the subject.
