Vice-Chair Velásquez called the committee meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Approval of Minutes
1. Approve the Public Health Committee meeting minutes for August 9, 2023.
On the motion by Council member Vela and second by Ryan Alter, the meeting minutes for the August 9, 2023, Public Health Committee were approved on a vote 4-0 with Mayor Watson absent.
Briefings
2. Meet Dr. Larry Wallace, Jr. Chair of the Public Health Commission, and receive an update on the work of the Commission
Received an update from Dr. Wallace, Jr. related to the work of the Austin Travis County Public Health Commission and received priorities from the members of the Public Health Committee.
3. Briefing on issues related to homelessness from the Homeless Strategy Officer.
Received briefing from David Grey, Homeless Strategy Officer on issues related to homelessness.
Vice-Chair Velásquez adjourned the meeting at 10:33 a.m.
