Mayor Pro Tem Fuentes called the committee meeting to order at 10:01 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

1. Approve the minutes of the Public Health Committee meeting of October 1, 2025.

The minutes of the September 3, 2025. meetings were approved on Council Member Alter’s motion, and Council Member Velasquez’s second with no objection, on a 4-0 vote.

Discussion and Possible Action

2. Discussion and possible action regarding setting the Public Health Committee meeting dates for calendar year 2026.

The committee requested to remove the August meeting date and provide an alternative date for the June 3, 2025 meeting date before approval.

Briefings

3. Briefing on priorities for use of possible future bond funds and election.

The Committee received a briefing from David Gray, Director of Austin Homeless Strategies and Operations; Filip Gecic, Facility Planning Manager of Austin Public Health; Cody Scott, Facilities Process Manager of Austin Public Library; Jesús Aguirre, Director of Austin Parks and Recreation; Rolando Fernandez Jr. Interim Director; Jason Garza, Assistant Director of Austin Animal Services
