City of Austin Mobility Committee met July 17.

Call to Order

Council Member Ellis called the committee meeting to order at 1:04 p.m.

Public Communication

There were no speakers.

Approval of Minutes

1. Approve the minutes of the Mobility Committee meeting of May 15, 2025.

Motion by Vice chair Qadri, 2nd by CM Harper-Madison approved 5-0 vote.

Briefings

2.Updates on amendments to City Code related to parking regulations, including current compliance rates and challenges.

The committee received a briefing from Joseph Al-hajeri, Manager of Parking Enterprise of Transportation Public Works.

3. Update on operation of autonomous vehicles in the City and applicable regulations.

The committee received a briefing from Rachel Castignoli, Senior Business Process Consultant.

4. Briefing from the Urban Transportation Commission regarding actions from the June 3, 2025 and July 1, 2025, meetings.

The committee received a briefing from Spencer Schumacher, Vice-Chair of the Urban Transportation Commission.
