City of Austin Housing and Planning Committee met Nov. 9.

CALL TO ORDER

The Council Housing and Planning Committee convened in a regular meeting via a hybrid meeting (videoconference and in person).

Chair Casar called the Committee meeting to order at 3:10 p.m.

None.

Approval of Minutes

1. Approve the minutes of the October 5, 2021 meeting of the Housing and Planning Committee.

The minutes were approved on the 9th day of October 2021 on Council Member Ellis’s motion, Council Member Kitchen’s second on a 3-0 vote (Council Members Harper-Madison and Renteria were absent from the dais).

Discussion and Possible Action

2. Approve the 2022 Housing and Planning Committee meeting calendar.

Approved by acclamation from the three committee members present at today’s meeting.

Briefings

3. Briefing on use of anti-displacement funds for Project Connect in response to Resolution No. 20210204-062.

Travis Perlman, Project Coordinator, Housing and Planning Department, provided a presentation on Project Connect Anti-Displacement Funds. Rosie Truelove, Director, Housing and Planning Department, along with Cupid Alexander, Assistant Director, and James May, Acting Housing and Community Development Officer, also both from the Housing and Planning Department, all answered questions from council members.

No items were identified to discuss at a future meeting.
