The Austin Energy Utility Oversight Committee convened in a regular meeting at 301 W. 2nd Street in Austin, Texas.

Chair Leslie Pool called the committee meeting to order at 2:43 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

1. Approve the minutes of the February 1, 2022 Austin Energy Utility Oversight Committee meetings.

The minutes of the February 1, 2022 meeting were approved on Mayor Pro Tem Alter’s motion, and Council Member Kelly’s second, on an 8-0 vote with Council Member Harper Madison, Council Member Fuentes and Council Member Kelly off the dais.

General Manager Jackie Sargent provided the briefing.

3. Briefing on upcoming 2022 base rate review process.

Vice President of Finance, Rusty Maenius, and Sr. Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Communications and Compliance, Tammy Cooper, provided the briefing.

4. Decker Creek Power Station Workforce Planning

Vice President of Power Production, Pat Sweeney, provided the update on the Decker Creek workforce.

5. Update on Winter Storm URI after-action report.

Vice President of Electric System Engineering & Technical Services, Tom Pierpoint, provided the update.

6. Update on REACH program to reduce carbon emissions from generation assets.

Vice President of Energy Market Operations & Resource Planning, Erika Bierschbach, provided the update.
