City of Austin City Council met Nov. 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a Special Called Meeting on Monday, November 21 at Austin City Hall 301 W. Second Street, Austin, TX and via videoconference.

Mayor Pro Tem Alter called the Council Meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. Council Members Harper Madison, Kitchen, Kelly, and Tovo joined virtually. Mayor Adler, Council Members Renteria and Ellis were absent.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

1. Approve a resolution canvassing the results of the November 8,2022 election. Resolution No. 20221121-001 was approved on Council Member Fuentes’s motion, Council Member Pool’s second on an 8-0 vote. Mayor Adler, Council Members Renteria and Ellis were absent.

2. Approve an ordinance ordering a runoff election to be held in the City of Austin on December 13, 2022 for the purpose of electing City Council Mayor and Council Members (single member districts) for District 3, District 5, and District 91 making provision for the conduct of the election; and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 20221121-002 was approved on Council Member Pool’s motion, Council Member Vela’s second on an 8-0 vote. Mayor Adler, Council Members Renteria and Ellis were absent.

Mayor Adler adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:54 a.m. without objection.

The minutes were approved on this the 26tll day of January 2023 on consent without objection.
