City of Austin City Council met June 6.

The City Council of Austin, Texas, convened in a Special Joint Called Meeting with the Capital Metro Board of Directors and Austin Transit Partnership Board of Directors on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Austin City Hall 301 W. 2nd Street, Austin, TX and via videoconference.

Mayor Watson called the Council Meeting to order at 1:06 p.m. Council Member Pool joined via videoconference.

DISCITSSION

1. Discussion on the adoption of modifications to light rail and implementation plans related to Project Connect.

Action was taken on this item at the June 1,2023, Council Meeting.

DISCITSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION

2. Discussion and Possible Action Authorize execution ol an amendment and supplement to the Joint Powers Agreement between the City, Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority. and Austin Transit Partnership to specify party roles and responsibilities related to the implementation and financing of Project Connect.

The motion authorizing execution of an amendment and supplement to the Joint Powers Agreement between the City, Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Austin Transit Partnership was approved on Council Member Harper-Madison’s motion, Council Member Qadri’s second without objection.

3. Approve amendments to the Project Connect Community Advisory Committee’s (CAC) bylaws to allow a member of the CAC to continue to serve after the expiration of the member’s term for zip to six months if a replacement has not been appointed.

The motion approving amendments to the Project Connect Community Advisory Committee’s (CAC) bylaws was approved on Council Member Pool’s motion, Mayor Pro Tem Ellis’ second without objection.

Mayor Watson adjourned the Council Meeting at 1:43 p.m. without objection.
