Chicken Salad Chick is preparing to open a new location at 1000 East 41st Street, Suite 200, in Austin, Texas. This expansion follows the recent opening of a store in Pflugerville and is part of a broader plan to increase the restaurant’s presence in the Austin area.
The company stated that its continued growth represents a long-term investment in the community. The expansion aims to create jobs, stimulate local economic activity, and provide catering services for schools, universities, hospitals, and businesses.
Chicken Salad Chick began in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008 when Stacy and Kevin Brown started serving homemade chicken salad. The chain has since grown rapidly under CEO Scott Deviney. It now operates over 305 restaurants across 22 states and has received recognition from Entrepreneur and Fast Casual for its growth and approach.
The menu features more than a dozen made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors. Options range from “Classic Carol” to “Buffalo Barclay,” along with other offerings such as soups, sides, pimento cheese, cakes, cookies, and desserts. The restaurant also offers pre-packaged Quick Chicks meals for customers who need convenience.
Catering is an important part of Chicken Salad Chick’s business model. According to the company, it serves corporate offices, schools, medical facilities, universities—including Greek life events—and private celebrations with sandwich platters, fresh salads, fruit trays, cakes, cookies, and more. The company says its focus is on quality ingredients and reliable service.
A grand opening celebration will be held at the Hancock location. The first 100 guests will receive free Chicken Salad for a year. Updates about the event can be found at facebook.com/ChickenSaladChickAustinTXHancock.
The company described its entry into Austin as “more than just the opening of another restaurant—it’s a flavorful, community-driven concept ready to serve, connect, and grow with Austin.”
